Playnes Installation

Spore created an interactive installation for Puke Ariki museum in New Plymouth. Supporting exhibition signage and instructional images were also designed for the install. This installation allowed visitors to create and launch a paper airplane into the foyer space. One side of the space was for pilots to test their skills, attempting to land their craft within the target domes. The other side (blue planes) invited participants to write their dreams upon the paper before creating their plane – launching their thoughts out into the space to remain secret, while also visible above peoples heads as they entered the building. The installation proved a massive hit with local and international visitors – with approximately 28,500 planes launched!
