This weeks favourite photo is a sneak peek at a project I’ve been working on for a while…a new redesign of Carbon Art waveboards! Featuring all new illustrations and graphics that can be customized – letting board buyers choose their colour and choose the image for their board.

Was stoked to be able to get down to the final day of the womens ASP pro surfing tour New Zealand leg which was held in Taranaki. Spent the day photographing some truly inspirational surfing in the rapidly improving conditions. Event was won by Hawaiian Carissa Moore (seen in photos 2&3) who donated her entire winnings to a local surfing club that gets kids into surfing!

A photo from the epic New Zealand leg of the ASP womens surfing Dream Tour! Chelsea Hedges is pictured ripping down the line. Amazing surfing was on display by all the competitors – especially the 15yr old wildcard Sarah Mason the giantkiller (took out world champ Stephanie Gilmore!) and of course the eventual winner Carissa Moore!

Still fairly house bound with the broken ankle but enjoyed a lovely picnic with the family at Brooklands Zoo in New Plymouth this week. Managed to capture this shot of a Zebra before it ran off again with some kids on it’s back 
The second shot is my hand after a day of grafting today. Working away on a project for the Splore music/arts festival. The project is in the background…more will be posted sooon…
So this is the beginning of a new little project named…”Favourite Photo Friday” .
The idea is I’ll be posting a favourite photograph that I’ve taken during the week and surprisingly it will be every Friday! (bet you didn’t guess that!)
To start things off in fine form I’m breaking the rules right off the bat and posting a photo that wasn’t taken this week at all. It was taken just before my broken ankle and when I first thought about doing this. But I’m sure you’ll forgive me just this once… next ones will be weekly fresh I promise! There’s some people out there doing the every day 365 challenge for both photo and some design , the great cool stuff by Mark Weaver and of course one of my favourites, the daily monster.
But I’m going for something a little bit more casual and realistic with busy work, family life and possibly may mean quality over quantity, but no guarantees in that department.
